An underground walkway with a direct connection to Tokyo Metro's Mitsukoshimae Station and links to COREDO Muromachi 1, 2, and 3, the Edo Sakura-dori Underground Walkway can also be used as an event space. With digital signs installed on the walkway's pillars, and a multipurpose room available across from the walkway at the Nihonbashi Information Center, this weather-proof space has the amenities and versatility to support and extend the reach of projects of all sorts. Please note that as the Underground Walkway is a public space, all projects must first be evaluated and approved by Nihonbashi Muromachi Area Management and the municipal authorities of Chuo City.

Features

In addition to serving as an event space, the Edo Sakura-dori Underground Walkway was also designed as a freely accessible facility that can serve as a temporary shelter for people in need during times of emergency, such as when public transit systems are disrupted by natural disasters. With the aim of achieving an exceptional standard of disaster preparedness, the walkway is stocked with emergency supplies that will support stays of approximately three days in length, while other safety measures in place include the availability of the walkway's digital signs for the delivery of disaster updates and transit information from the Chuo City authorities.
